COLONIAL CARTON COMPANY ANNOUNCES NAME CHANGE
CLAYTON, NC––Colonial Carton Company (CCC) will change the company name as of January 1, 2009 to 3C Packaging to align the name with the company's evolving core purpose. Changing the name to 3C Packaging will help CCC make the transition from a folding carton company to a packaging solutions company in the marketplace. In addition to designing and manufacturing folding cartons, the evolving services include pharmaceutical inserts & outserts, printed literature, and unit dose compliant packages.
As part of the name change, the company will release a new logo. The design of the new logo holds on to traditions built in the past thirty years, as well as offers a strong platform for expansion. The CCC part of the logo will be replaced by 3C and the carton outline will be replaced by an exclamation point. The exclamation point expresses the excitement that will be felt within the marketplace as clients are continually impressed beyond their expectations. "We will continue to impress the marketplace by helping our customers exceed their goals. Additional product offerings and the latest technologies will enhance our value proposition in our customers supply chain," said Joe Elphick, President/CEO.
In the past year CCC has added 40,000 square feet in order to accommodate the equipment for printed literature, as well as provide additional warehouse space. New equipment includes a 4-color web fed flexography press and a web fed 6-color offset press that are both used for printing pharmaceutical inserts/outserts. Inserts/outserts are folded and glued on one of the various Vijuk folding machines. CCC recently added a Vijuk FA53/14 MV2005 capable of folding 40x20 inch sheets up to 150 panels.
Pharmaceutical companies can take advantage of the new F1 Unit Dose Compliant Package service at CCC. 3CPAK is the name for the unit dose compliant package. For additional information about unit dose packaging, visit www.3cpak.com.
3C Packaging will remain the same independent, privately owned company as Colonial Carton Company. The management team expects the name transition to be seamless and should not cause any interruption in service to customers. Customers can expect to receive the same level of quality and service from 3C Packaging as they did with Colonial Carton Company. To learn more visit www.3CPackaging.com.
